Another Chance

Another Week and Day to Try Again!

Just because it’s not working out as planned or envisioned does not mean you should break the baton or throw it away 🙍. Every new dawn is another chance to try again.

Take a deep breath. Look your dream at its core. And Try Again.

Pick up your baton and finish the race! You can do this!

Have a great dream-fulfilling blessed week. 😉

Much Love,

SOME ACCOLADES — April 19, 2018

SOME ACCOLADES

Give yourself some credits for actually trying. Appreciate the joy and thrill of the journey. Take some accolades for the difference between where you used to be and where you are now because you’re doing a great job! 👍

I deserve some accolades! 🙌🙌 🙌

Well, that’s a trending phrase from a comedy skit. But, I actually do deserve some accolades. Recently, I wrote about going through ‘Writer’s block‘ and it was one of the toughest struggles have had recently. When you’re trying so hard to do what usually seems like a second nature. You search in and out of yourself and all you see is just an empty blank space. Nothing just seems to interest you or bring out that side you thought you will always have or knew so well, blahblahblah. Read Writer’s block for more on that.
Well, today is not about the ‘Writer’s block‘ cos in a way, I feel I have a hold on it now and that’s all thanks to the wisdom of taking a *Chill pill* and do other things (in my case – I read books, went to see movies at the cinema, did few shoppings, ate a lot of Pringles and chocolates and even travelled to spend some time with Family) and now I feel a lot better with a clearer head.
So, back to the accolades, earlier this week, I finished some courses I started in the beginning of the year. Trust me, online courses are not as easy as it sounds especially if you’re the type that procrastinate a lot and you have a couple of other things to do, meeting up with weekly deadlines, availability of good networks and all. I’m just so glad that against all logistics that could have made me stop mid-way, I finished those courses excellently and the best part to that is assessing the year so far and knowing I’m actually doing what I set out to do, even way faster than I thought.
One secret I discovered during the ‘Writer’s block’ is that “Celebrate you for every big and small achievement you make as you chase your dreams. Allow yourself to refresh your soul and rekindle the fire from within to move on”. With that in mind, I believe you’ve seen why I started this post with ‘I deserve some accolades! 🙌🙌 🙌’ and indeed I gave myself, got from loved ones too (my brother even got me 🍕, 🍦and paid for my movie ticket to see Rampage 2018 by Dwayne Johnson).

Truth is, there is a way you can feel less of yourself because according to your timing, you’ve not covered all you said you’d do. I challenge you to celebrate you for how far you’ve come and see how gratitude reciprocate.

And if you’re still having cold feet starting, you’ve got 8 months 1 week 4 days to be precise to still get your dreams going (That’s about enough time to conceive and have a healthy baby). 😉

10 Things I’ve Learnt from Blogging X 3 year Blogiversary — April 4, 2018

10 Things I’ve Learnt from Blogging X 3 year Blogiversary

MBW celebrating 3 years with awesome blogging lessons to learn from. Congrats on your Blogiversary dear.
Cheers to more years of fulfilling purpose.

Today is consistency celebration day. After trying, getting tried, but persisting nonetheless, this blog is 3 years old today! I thought it’ll be nice to put up a blogiversary post and share a few things I’ve learnt over the last three years on this blourney (blog +journey, feel me? 😎) Maybe not but …

1. Enjoy the initial butterflies. When you decide to start a blog, there’s an excitement as you think of the many ideas you want to share with the world. You want to post everyday, and everything is content in your eyes. Ride on that wave while it lasts. Write down the content, perfect it and leave it in your folder for the day you’ll need it. Don’t post too often if you know you can’t keep up. Pace yourself.
2. Perfect your post. Don’t hurry to post something just because you have to if it is not excellent, at least up to the reasonable man’s standard of perfection. Some typos can be pardoned but some are just too obvious to be ignored. I know that after reviewing a document for it for a while, it’s easy to read over your typos and miss them, so ask a trusted person to proofread for you before you post.
